Get Your Clubs Ready for a Scenic and Challenging Round of Golf

    1. Asheville Municipal Golf

The Asheville Municipal Golf Course is a fun and challenging course. It was designed by Donald Ross, who laid out these links to be a blast for any type of golfer, from amateur to the more serious golfer. The front nine holes have an open and flat layout, however, the back nine are in a more wooded area, which requires a more careful club selection. The course runs along the Swannanoa River and boasts scenic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It also has a putting green, chipping green, and practice bunker. The price for a round at the Asheville Municipal Golf course is $29 per person.

    2. Black Mountain Golf

The Black Mountain Golf Course is located outside of Asheville in scenic Black Mountain. These 18 holes have amazing views of the Western NC mountains, as well as a well-maintained pro shop which has all of your needs available before you venture out on the course. The course totals 6,215 yards and is said to have not only meticulously manicured greens, and some challenging approach shots. It was home to a 747-yard, par 6 17th hole which was the longest hole in the world. Make sure you check out their 19th hole snack shack for a post game lunch. The price for this course is $27 per person.

    3. Tryon Country Club

This course was also designed by Donald Ross in the 1920s and has an impressive par 72 for men and a par 75 for women. The Tryon Country Club has a practice range, which is always a good idea before heading out onto the course. If you need help with your swing, their pros, Buddy Manson and Gerald Weathers, are there to help with any problem. For family members who don’t want to golf, they have a fun swimming pool on-site. A round at the Tryon Country Club is $20 per person.
