Blowing Rock Christmas Parade
The town of Blowing Rock puts on a two-day Christmas celebration. On Friday, take photos with Santa, play carnival games, take a hayride, and enjoy live music. Later, watch Lighting of the Town as the town comes alive with holiday lights. On Saturday, they have the Christmas parade filled with costumes, animals, and floats marching down Main Street!
4th of July Parades in Western NC
Montreat Fourth of July Celebration
In previous years, the town kicked off celebrations with their annual Gate Race 5k early in the morning. At 10 am, a flag-raising ceremony with the Star-Spangled Banner and a short parade. Then, a full day of activities to celebrate the holiday, ending with a dance later that night. One of Montreat’s favorite holiday events of the year.
Hendersonville 4th of July
Organized by Hendersonville and Merchants & Business Association, this free parade starts the town’s celebrations off for the day. At 10:30 am, you can see the parade along Main Street from Caswell to 6th Avenue. Later that evening, enjoy live music, food trucks, games, giveaways and so much more! Then, of course, an exciting fireworks display to end the evening!
Waynesville Stars and Stripes July 4 Celebration
They have the Patriotic Kids Parade held in downtown Waynesville. Supplies are provided to the kids to decorate their bikes, wagon, and baby strollers for the parade from the courthouse down Main Street. The parade ends with an ice cream social.
Lake Junaluska Independence Day Celebration
Family fun fireworks, floating wish lanterns, a parade, a family square dance, and concerts are all activities you can enjoy for the Lake Junaluska 4th of July.
Brevard Independence Day Community Celebration
The pinnacle of summertime is Brevard’s Fourth of July celebration and all-day festival. With a car show, local food vendors, an art showcase, kid’s activities, and The Sycamore Cycles Patriotic Bike Parade, there is something for everyone.
Marion Independence Day Celebration & Fireworks
Celebrate in downtown Marion with a parade at 6 pm, street dancers at 7 pm, and fireworks at dusk. They have a spot in their parade reserved for “anything that rolls!”
