Where did this come from?” The Select Registry was started by Norman Simpson, the author of Country Inns and Back Roads, which is now in its 20th edition! This book is now used as the Select Registry’s anthology. Mr. Simpson and his wife spent decades traveling and writing travel guides and eventually these books morphed into what eventually became the backbone for today’s Select Registry.
