1. Parker-Binns Vineyard
Enjoy 35 acres of breathtaking scenery at the Parker-Binns Vineyard! This company began in 2007 after Karen and Bob Binns decided they were unsatisfied with retirement. Now, they put their heart and soul into creating delicious blends with their 4,000 grape vines. If you’d like to try their wines and experience the gorgeous views, their tasting room is open Wednesday – Friday from 12:00 to 6:00, then Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 to 7:00.
2. Overmountain Vineyards
Overmountain Vineyards is a family-run winery that is located in the Tryon Foothills of Polk County. They focus on French-style wines such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Manseng, Petit Verdot, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. As you try their wines, you’ll be able to notice the care and expertise that has gone into each creation. The tasting room is located in a quaint cottage overlooking the expansive hills to create a unique atmosphere and is open Wednesday through Sunday!
3. Mountain Brook Vineyards
Mountain Brook Vineyards has been growing grapes since 2002, and have been able to offer wine made from 100% North Carolina grapes. They keep each batch small to ensure high quality, and you can tell! Walk-ins are welcome to indulge in a wine tasting on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays for just $10. You’ll even get a souvenir wine glass to remember your visit by!
4. Russian Chapel Hills Winery
The Russian Chapel Hills Winery is located about a half hour away from Orchard Inn in Columbus, NC. Once known as Green Creek Vineyards, the name was changed after the addition of the St. Anna Chapel. If you’re interested in visiting, you can frequent their tasting room from Thursday through Sunday from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. The gorgeous vineyard views pair perfectly with their delicious wines!
