The Asheville Marathon is an exciting event that happens every year in downtown Asheville, NC. Everything You Need to Know to Get Registered for the Asheville Marathon

The Asheville Marathon & Half Marathon is an annual event held in downtown Asheville, NC, in March. This race is a Boston Qualifier, sanctioned by the USATF, and both courses are USATF certified.

The Asheville Marathon Course – Full and Half

Choose between a full marathon (26.7 mi) or half marathon (13.4 mi) course. Both courses are point-to-point and start at Pack Square Park. This exciting race takes you through downtown Asheville and then to the River Arts District. The course will go through city streets, on a greenway next to the French Broad River, and through the park. Much of the course is downhill and on paved surfaces with a few dirt sections.

This spectator-friendly event features live music at several spots along the route and opportunities for personal best. After finishing the marathon, runners will enjoy a celebration at the Wedge at the Foundation!

 

Asheville Marathon Registration

Registration starts as early as June but extends through the end of February. The Race Expo and Bib Pickup is the day before the race, or you can have it mailed to skip pickup. Get a race bib, t-shirt, goody bag, and a free shuttle ticket from the parking lot to the starting line. After the race, get post-race food, a beer, and festivities. Appalachian Trilogy

When you sign up for the Asheville Marathon, plus two other races, you will receive a gold commemorative medal after running three races. To make the best experience possible and help you succeed, you’ll have access to Pace Leaders, who are available before and during the race to help support your goals.
