The Henderson County museum is located in the Historic Courthouse that has been restored downtown. This museum is dedicated to operating a heritage and history museum that showcases Henderson Country throughout the years. This unique history is displayed using a variety of methods, including educational programs, creative exhibits, and dioramas. These different displays are located in the six different rooms of the museum.

One of the featured exhibits in the Henderson County Heritage Museum pertains to the American Civil War. You will be able to see different flags, uniforms, and weapons that were used during the war. Another one of the exhibits in the museum features the importance of the railroad in the region. This includes a model railroad as well as videos about and artifacts from the old railroad.
