Your guide will enlighten you with knowledge about the family as well as interesting stories. If you enjoy architecture, you have to go on the Architect’s Tour. For $17, you will spend an hour being informed intimately with the design and construction of the house. The Biltmore House Butler’s Tour will show you how much effort and help it took to keep the home and family running in tip top shape. This tour is $17 and will allow you to visit rooms that are not available to the public. The Premium Tour will include the best of all of the guided tours in one 2 hour tour that will make you an expert on the Vanderbilt’s. Lastly, starting October 1st, the Vanderbilt Friends and Family Tour will re-open. This tour will help you imagine what it would be like to be a guest of the Vanderbilt home. One thing to keep in mind with all of these Biltmore Estate tours is that reservations are recommended.
Not only are there indoor tours but there are Biltmore Estate tours of the grounds as well. You can choose from the Legacy of the Land tour which will inform you on the history of the land and who has lived there. Did you know that the Biltmore Estate has it’s own vineyard? Make sure you book one of their winery tours. You will learn all about how their wine is made as well as sample some of their delicious vintages. The Estate also features a Red Wine & Chocolate Seminar which will help you pair wine and chocolate like an expert. Lastly, the Estate has a Biltmore Bubbles Tour which will guide you through their sparkling wine process as well as let you sample all 6 of their sparkling wines.
